Great Sites for Molecular Genetics
Use these sites for exciting, authentic AP Biology Projects. The first 4 sites are found below as an easy to use Weblist.
Search Science Journals at PubMed. Use the other databases to do gene, protein, and other searches too. The Japanese NIH site has the most extensive molecular toolbox I have encountered. I used it regularly in my own research. It could be used for students to design hypothetical experiments using recombinant DNA techniques. New England Biolabs has the best site for anything related to restriction enzyme use. Use the "Favorite Tools" in the left column. Want to design the perfect PCR primers? Use Primer3 free primer testing software. It is the best! A "Biocalculator" for making handy conversions from Promega. |
